Welcome to the NO page!!

NO fancy colors and backgrounds, pages have to be easily readable

NO images, they're unneeded on most pages around... waste of bandwidth

...not to mention the fact that often they're stolen from other pages...

NO personal infos, who really cares about them?

NO links to others' pages, never ease the life of newbies who can't use search engines

NO frames and applets, leave them to the ppl who feel clever using them

NO multimedia thingies, leave them to the freaks who drool for them

NO cookies, why bothering your computer with useless food?

NO advertising, don't you hate being slowed down sooooo much, uselessly?

NO counters, if you really need one, write it yourself

NO *under construction* signs, real pages are NEVER finished anyway

NO mailto link, mail me from a real mailer, like PEGASUS !

NO Italian language, why should pages be readable by so few people?

NO HTML wizards used, a text editor is enough if you KNOW html

Well, have you understood what this seemingly crazy babble could mean?

The net can be still accessed with old equipments, but only if you comply to lower standards. To be useful to the largest number of users possible, the informations on your pages HAVE to be easily readable, and not requiring fancy gadgets like sound cards, actually unneeded by the majority. Don't force yourself and the others to upgrade the equipment at high costs just to follow the trend. And when you're in search of programs to fit your needs, check free software first! Good examples of this are the PEGASUS mailer, and NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR web browser (this is free for non commercial use). Not to mention LYNX, a text-only web browser... it's really fast and it just gets the most useful part of web pages. Free software really works, don't let yourself be fooled by the wrong idea that performance is proportional to costs, it's the worst lie the commercial system tries to brainwash you with.

*NO RIBBON* CAMPAIGN

against the waste of bandwidth
